THOMSON, Ga.- Mr. Kenneth R. Griffin, 69, of Thomson, entered into rest August 17, 2004 at his residence. He was the beloved husband of the late Nora (Elean) Griffin.
Mr. Griffin was a native of Glascock County, but lived in Thomson for the past 42 years. He was the son of the late Dewitt C. Griffin and the late Emily Kent Griffin. Mr. Griffin also served in the U. S. Air Force, and attended Norris Chapel Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Brenda Kay Davis (Mike) of Martinez, Linda Hampton (Bob) of Warner Robbins, Glenda Newman (Billy) of Martinez; two brothers, James Griffin of Augusta, William Griffin of Appling; five sisters, Betty Moore of Harlem, Eula Ween Stewart of Gibson, Sara Louise Griffin of Augusta, Mildred Ann Dreifuss of Warner Robbins, Brenda Odum of Thomasville; three grandchildren, Ryan Hampton, Patricia Calamas and Marcus Hampton; a special daughter and son, Rhonda and Robin Spicer.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 19, 2004 at Norris Chapel Church with the Revs. Jimmy Richardson and L. M. Hobbs, Jr. officiating. Interment followed in Zoar United Methodist Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Robin Spicer, William Newman, Marcus Hampton, Ronnie Landrum, Robert Landrum, Jr. and Benjamin Dreifuss.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Norris Chapel Church.
Beggs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
