MACON, Ga.- Mr. C. Benjamin Harnsberger, 89, of Macon, died Aug. 19, 2004, at his residence.
Memorial services were held Saturday, Aug. 21, at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street, with Dr. Robert Setzer and Dr. L.W. Bowen officiating. A private burial was in Riverside Cemetery.
Mr. Harnsberger, son of the late Clyde Warren and Rosa Elmyra Wright Harnsberger, was born in Lincoln County, and served in the U.S. Army. He was a graduate of Athens Business College had owned and operated several motels including Ramada Inn and Howard Johnson and had also been in insurance. Mr. Harnsberger was a member of First Baptist Church where he had served as Deacon. He was also a member of Golden K Kiwanis Club and Masonic Lodge No. 5 F&AM.
Survivors include his wife of more than 62 years, Jeanette (Jimmie) W. Harnsberger; his son, Dr. B. Dan (Sandra) Harnsberger, Chattanooga; his daughter, Lee H. (George) Limbocker of Suwanee; grandchildren, Scott and Tabitha Harnsberger, Laura and Rob Parker, Anne and Trey Carr, Brian and Julie Limbocker and Leslie Limbocker; nine great-grandchildren; his sister-in-law, Esther Bolton, Griffin.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Georgia, P.O. Box 6533, Macon, GA 31208 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
Snow's Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
