WRENS, Ga. - Funeral service for Mrs. Annie Lee Smith, 88, Wrens, was held on Saturday, August 23, 2008, at 3 p.m. at the Spread Chapel A.M.E. Church in Stapleton with the Rev. Timothy Lewis officiating and the Rev. Charlie Myrick serving as eulogist. Interment was in the churchyard cemetery.
Survivors include four daughters, Annie Lois Vaughner, Ollie Neal, & Inez Smith all of Wrens, Carolyn (Wilbur) Allen, Atlanta; five sons, Charles (Daphnye) Smith, Avera, Sammie (Janie) Williams, Thomson, Bernard (Rose) Williams, Augusta, Keon Jordan, Wrens, Reggie Smith, Augusta; six Step-children, Marian Lewis, Midville, Pauline Webb, Wadley, Fannie Bell Scrubb, Augusta, Hayward Smith Jr., Macon, Ezimo Smith, Midville, Gordon Smith, Sparta; 51 grandchildren; 83 great-grandchildren; 25 great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Frances Gilmore, Florida; brother-in-law, Cleveland Reed, Augusta; son-in-law, Nathanian Upton, Augusta; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Freeman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
