Ms. Tammy Newsome of Thomson would like to announce the engagement of her daughter, Amanda Lynn Newsome to Nicholas Guy Hunt, son of Guy and Delane Hunt of Franklinton, La. Tammy is also the daughter of the late James Newsome of Thomson.
The wedding is planned for Saturday, March 29, 2008, at 6 p.m. at the Bowden Johnson House in Thomson.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Martha Phillips and the late Charles Phillips of Thomson and Mrs. Mildred Newsome and the late Julian Newsome of Thomson. She graduated from Thomson High School and attended Georgia Military College. She is presently employed as a teller for Capital One Bank.
The groom-to-be is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. "Red" Martin of Franklinton, LA and Mr. Houston Hunt and the late Ann Hunt. He is a graduate of Pine High School and is presently employed with the family business, Hunt Buildings.
