Mr. William Edward "Dub" Dye, Jr.

WRENS, Ga. - Mr. William Edward "Dub" Dye, Jr., 78, beloved husband of the late Martha Jane Dye, entered into rest Thursday, August 23, 2007, at the Medical College of Georgia Hospital.

Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Sunday, August 26, 2007, at James Funeral Home Chapel, with Joe Wilburn officiating. Burial followed at Wrens Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Dye was retired form Thermo King. He was a member of the Providence Baptist Church of Augusta. His beloved children and family include, Wanda Vinson, Dearing, Faye Godowns, Louisville, Kaye Dye, Wrens, Mary Jane Wilson, Rincon, Ga.; a brother, Melvin Dye, Louisville and two sisters, Mary Englett, Thomson and Orna Meeker, Augusta; 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, who knew him as Papa Dub.

Pallbearers were Keith Dowdy, Bruce Dowdy, Shannon Godowns, Rayn Godowns, Lester Hadden and Bootsie Martin.

James Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
