THOMSON, Ga. - Miss Chrystal Leigh Williams, 16, entered into rest August 24, 2007, at the Medical College of Georgia Hospital in Augusta.
Miss Williams was born in Augusta, but lived most of her life in Thomson. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Warrenton and the First Baptist Youth Group. She was an 11th grade student of Thomson High School, a former member of the Bulldog Brigade and played McDuffie County Recreation fast-pitch softball.
Survivors: father: William "Bill" Williams (Lynn), Stapleton, Ga.; mother: Jamie House (Barry), Thomson; sisters: Sabrina Williams and Kayla Williams, Stapleton, Ga.; brother: Joshua Cowart, Stapleton, Ga.; paternal grandparents: Burt Williams (Pam), Louisville, and Brenda Williams, Louisville; maternal grandparents: Kermit and Jackie House, Warrenton.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Carolyn and Cy Fortier and paternal grandparents Margaret and James Miller.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m., Sunday, August 26, 2007, at First Baptist Church of Warrenton with Dr. Charles Drummond officiating. Interment followed at Westview Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Alan Higginbotham, Josh Fortier, Christopher Lindsey, Andy Miller, Patrick Nix, Adam Harper, and Jordan Land. Honorary Pallbearers were First Baptist Youth Group of Warrenton.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Warrenton Youth Group or donate blood in her memory at MCG.
Beggs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
