Mr. Jimmy W. Moore, State of Georgia retiree
HARLEM, Ga. - Mr. Jimmy W. Moore, 74, husband of Mrs. Betty J. Moore, entered into rest Sunday August 20, 2006, at McDuffie Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Thursday August 24, 2006, at Born Again Baptist Church, with the Rev. Edward Carothers officiating. Interment was in Bellevue Memorial Gardens near Grovetown.
Mr. Moore, a native of Columbia County, was retired from the Roads and Bridges Maintenance Department with the State of Georgia. He was a member of Born Again Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years Betty J. Moore; one daughter, Annie Payton, Augusta; two step-daughters, Joann Maddox, Harlem and Patricia Jones, Grovetown; two stepsons Martin Morris, Sr., Augusta, and David Morris, Harlem; one sister, Helen Morris, Dearing; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Herbie Espiritu, Ronnie Baker, Bobby Joe Baker, Tom Jones, Timmy Jones, and Rusty Newman.
