WAYNESBORO, Ga. - Mr. James Richard Skinner, 68, husband of 46 years to Mrs. Margaret L. Skinner, entered into rest Monday, August 21, 2006 at the residence.
Memorial services were held Thursday, August 24, 2006 at 7 p.m. from Calvary Tabernacle with Pastor Rodney MacRae, Pastor Clifton O'Bryan and Brother James and Sister Shelby Roberts officiating.
Mr. Skinner was a native of Augusta and a member of Calvary Tabernacle. He was involved in the prison ministry at The Transitional Center, Taylor Street, Augusta, from 2001 until 2003 and the bus ministry of Calvary Tabernacle for three years. Mr. Skinner was retired from Continental Can and had a lawn maintenance business.
He was a very loving and kind man who had taken several children into his own home to live.
Additional survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Angela M. and Angelo Thomas of Waynesboro, one granddaughter, Nikki Danille Skinner of Waynesboro, three brothers, Jerry C. Skinner of Augusta, Ronnie Skinner of Dearing and Bob Skinner, one sister, Norma Jean Ward of Hephzibah.

Hatcher, Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors were in charge of arrangements.
