Young people need activities, too

Dear Editor,

I have lived in Thomson my whole life, and the only thing that has not changed is the fact that there is absolutely nothing for the people that are 18 years and older to do. The only thing that this town has is the movie theatre, and then we are told that we can't stand outside it because it is considered loitering.

Now Thomson has gotten some grant money and the Mayor wants to improve certain streets, and houses, but in doing so, he forgets about the younger generation.

If the Mayor of Thomson and its business owners want to create more money coming into this town, then they need to give the 18 year olds and the people in their 20's something to do. Doesn't it register to anyone that that's why the Martinez and Evans areas are so lucrative?

Instead of thinking inside the box, this town needs to start thinking outside the box. Give us something to do.

Heather Hinton, Thomson
