Mr. John Ed Reese
Cloth Cutter

GIBSON, Ga. - Mr. John Ed Reese, 66, of Calhoun St. entered into rest Saturday, August 27, at McDuffie Regional Medical Center, Thomson.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mt. Zion Congregational Methodist Church with the Rev. Al Kurtz and Jeff Jones officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.

Mr. Reese was a member of Mt. Zion and a native of Glascock Co. He was a graduate of the 1956 Class at Glascock Co. High School. He was the former Athletic Director of the Glascock Co. Recreation Department. John Ed was a loving father, grandfather and son. He cared deeply for his family and will be greatly missed.

Survivors are his loving mother, Mrs. Kathleen Reese of Gibson; his son, Dean Reese of Gibson and his daughter, Michelle Williamson and her husband, John of Andalusia, Ala.; three grandchildren, Jonathan Garrett, Ashley Williamson and Johnathon Williamson; one great-grandchild, Cooper Williamson and three very special people to John's heart, Zylphia Reese, his aunt, Donnie Reese, his uncle and Margaret Land, his cousin. He was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Alvin Reese.

Pallbearers were Dug Grimes, Kim Williams, Darrell Usry, Branson Marsh, Tommy Thompson and Lee Griffin. Honorary pallbearers were the Class of 1956.

Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.

Sheppard Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
