Mr. and Mrs. Henry Baird Thomas of Thomson are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Corie Blanche Thomas, to Aaron Heath Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Barney Johnson of Thomson.
The wedding and reception is planned for Oct. 4, 2008, at the Bowden Johnson House in Thomson.
Miss Thomas is the granddaughter of Mrs. Kathryn Cook of Elberton, Ga., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Thomas of Augusta. Miss Thomas is the great-granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Sukel of Tignall, Ga. She is a graduate of the University of Georgia with her BFA in dance. She is currently working on her teacher certification in K-12 dance education. She is currently employed by the Thomson Branch YMCA as the Program Director.
Mr. Johnson is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Johnson and Mrs. Rachel Meadows and the late Ray Meadows of Augusta. Mr. Johnson is employed by Aggregates USA in Grovetown.
The two plan to reside in Thomson.
