NORWOOD, Ga. - Mrs. Gwendolyn S. Hemphill, 88, died Tuesday, August 26, 2008, in the McDuffie Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Hemphill was a lifelong resident of Warren County and a member of the First Baptist Church of Warrenton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Albert Hemphill, Jr.
She is survived by a son, Barry Wayne (Martha) Hemphill, Thomson; a sister, Tommie Reynolds, Norwood; and a niece, Beth Hinman, Norwood.
Graveside services were held Thursday, August 28, 2008, in the Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens with Dr. Ray Hope officiating. Pallbearers were Larry Rachels, Jim Michael, Tommy Phelps, Steve Phelps, Jimmy Norman, and Wally Thigpen.
