CAMAK, Ga. - Mr. Earl Thomas Reese, of Camak, entered into rest August 31, 2008, at his residence. He was the beloved husband of Georgia B. Reese.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, September 2, 2008, at the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bryant Neal officiating. Interment followed at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Wally Thigpen, David Thigpen, Eddie Kelley, Wade Matthews, Jimmy McDonald and Kenny Hill.
Mr. Reese was born in Glascock County and was the son of the late Clarence Reese, Sr., and the late Ruth Dixon Reese. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was retired from Shaw Industries. Mr. Reese was also a member of Camak Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Georgia B. Reese; son, Donnie Reese and his wife Bet, Norwood; daughters, Kathy Usry and her husband Darrell, Gibson, Linda Daniel and her husband Darry, Thomson; brothers, Clarence Reese, Jr., Gibson, Jamie Reese, Appling; sisters, Beulah Proctor, Thomson, Hazel Kelley and Betty Jean Kelley, both of Mitchell, Joann Reese, Gibson; five grandchildren, Melissa McDonald, Tommy Reese, Russ Usry and friend Samantha Scarber, Dena Daniel and Krista Matthews; six great-grandchildren.
