HARLEM, Ga. - Funeral services for Mr. George E. "Jack" Tankersley Jr., 67, of Harlem, were held on Wednesday, September 3, 2008, at 2 p.m. at the New Holt Baptist Church, Harlem, with Rev. Melvin Adams, Jr., officiating. Interment was in Second Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery, Harlem.
Survivors are two children, George (LaDean) Tankersley III, Beach Island, SC, Joyce Tankersley, Harlem; three sisters, Mary L. Tankersley, Frances Grant, both of Harlem, Nancy (James) Grace, Augusta; one brother, Ronnie (Janet) Tankersley, Erie, Pa.; two sisters-in-law, Ola Tankersley, Lillie Tankersley, both of Harlem; five grandchildren; three devoted friends, Willie (Motto) Taylor, Chris Motton, & Lucy Duke, all of Harlem, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.
Thomson Funeral System was in charge of arrangements.
