THOMSON, Ga. - Mr. Pierce G. Palmer, 76, beloved husband of Mrs. Betty Palmer, died Sunday, August 26, 2007, at his residence.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 29, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Gary Palmer and Rev. David Sisler officiating. Burial was in the Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens with Military Honors.
Mr. Palmer was a native of Columbia County, but had lived in Thomson for many years. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He had retired from the Baltimore Gas and Electric Company after 32 years of service. He was a member of the Macedonia United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Betty Palmer, Thomson; four sisters, Nell Meyer, Myrtis Prevette, Alice Hammock, and Frances McMichael, all of Thomson; a brother, Gene Palmer, Thomson; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were nephews.
