WARRENTON, Ga. - Mrs. Suzanne Thompson Newsome, 61, beloved wife of Mr. Bobby Newsome, died Sunday, September 3, 2006, at the residence.
Graveside funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2006, at the Westview Cemetery, Thomson, with Rev. Robert W. Reese officiating.
Mrs. Newsome, a native of Buford, SC, was a Warren County resident for many years. She was the daughter of Mrs. Margaret B. Thompson and the late Mr. Edgar E. "Pete" Thompson, Jr. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Warrenton and a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Bobby Newsome, her mother, Margaret S. Thompson, both of Warrenton; one son, Tommy (Elaine) Newsome of Mesena; three sisters: Patricia A. Barksdale of Mesena, Barbara J. Epps of Richmond, Va., and Meg Thompson-Webb of Grovetown; and one step-grandchild, Clay Thigpen, Mesena.
Pallbearers were J. J. Gunn, Don Wren, Ronnie Easler, Bobby Bellamy, William Wood, Steve Cooper, Pat Rogers, Al Wheeler, Hal Wheeler, and Barry Allen.
Lowe Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
