Lions helping victims of Hurricane Katrina
Thomson Camellia City Lions will be at Wal-Mart on Friday, Sept. 9, to collect for the hurricane victims. Also members have made donations of needed items to the other organizations that are collecting at Bi-Lo and other places.
Lions Clubs International Foundation Chairperson Past International President Clement Kusiak sent letters to all local clubs stating that LCIF awarded $200,000 Major Catastrophe Grant to help victims and three $10,000 emergency grants that was awarded directly to three Districts through Lions Clubs in Louisiana to help victims.
