Mrs. Mildred Campbell Buchanan
THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Mildred Campbell Buchanan, 83, of Thomson, died September 2, 2005.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m., Monday, September 5, 2005 at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens in Thomson.
Mrs. Buchanan was born November 24, 1921 in Charlotte N.C., the daughter of the late Charles Davis Campbell and Fannie Cooper Campbell. She graduated from Thomasboro High School and Carolina Business School in Charlotte N.C. She married Will E. Buchanan in 1941. She was a charter member of Sharon United Methodist Church in Charlotte, N.C. and served as Financial Secretary and Secretary of the Administration Board during the Church's formative years. She moved to Thomson with her husband in 1972. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years and by her sister, Lorraine C. Mozeley.
She is survived by a brother, Paul M. Campbell of Pineville, N.C.; two nieces, Marilyn Campbell Sherman of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Melodey Mozeley Hauch of League City, Texas; and two great-nephews, Geoffrey Hauch and Andrew Hauch of League City, Texas.
