Belle Meade Country Club is set to re-open later this month following a major renovation.
Belle Meade's scheduled opening date is Sept. 17, two weeks later than the original projected opening date of Sept. 3
"The course is looking good," said Belle Meade head pro and general manager Gregg Hemann. "We didn't want to open until it's really ready. We want to make sure everything is really nice."
The semi-private Belle Meade course has been closed since January. All the greens were rebuilt and some redesigned and shifted slightly. They include the green on the 15th hole, which was moved to the left, and the green on No. 16, which was dropped down closer to the water hazard.
"The effort was made to continue to follow the natural flow of the land," Hemann said.
