Smallwood to wed Brantley in Dearing ceremony

Mr. and Mrs. Jack Smallwood, Jr. of Thomson proudly announce the engagement of their daughter, Mandy Marie Smallwood, to Johnny Wayne Brantley, Jr. of Thomson, the son of Johnny Wayne Brantley, Sr., of Thomson.

Miss Smallwood is a 2002 graduate of Thomson High School and a 2006 graduate of Augusta State University, where she received a bachelor of arts degree in sociology. She is currently employed with Georgia TASC of Thomson.

Her maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Richard Miller of Augusta and the late Grover C. Hobbs of Thomson. Her paternal grandparents are Mrs. Dorothy H. Smallwood of Thomson and the late Jack Smallwood, Sr., of Warrenton.

Mr. Brantley is a 2000 graduate of Thomson High School. He is currently employed with McDuffie Electrical of Thomson.

His maternal grandparents are Mrs. Annette Irby and Keelan Irby of Augusta. His paternal grandparents are Evelyn Moore and Mack Brantley of Augusta.

Their wedding will take place on Saturday, Nov. 3, at 3 p.m. at Dearing Baptist Church. A reception will immediately follow in the fellowship hall.

No formal invitations will be sent. All friends and relatives are invited to attend the wedding and reception.
