AUGUSTA, Ga. - Ms. Catherine Geraldine Radford of Augusta died on Monday, September 2, 2007.
The funeral service was conducted on Friday, September 6, 2007, at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Dr. Rick Busby officiated. Committal services followed the service in the family plot at Iron Hill Church Cemetery in Dearing.
Ms. Radford was retired from the City of Augusta. She worked at both Westview and Magnolia Cemeteries. She was raised in Dearing and relocated to Augusta in 1968. She was the daughter of the late Robert L. Radford and the late Lonnie Phillips Radford. She joined the church at an early age.
Ms. Radford is survived by her daughter, Janice Lee Radford of Augusta; son, Johnathan Lee Radford of Augusta; grandchildren, Jessica Anne Radford, Daphney Nicole Gant, Brandon Shiroco Radford, and James Alexander Radford; a great-grandson, Tysone Antuan Hobbs; her sister, Frances Whitaker.
Pallbearers were Brandon Shiroco Radford, James A. Radford, David Lambert, Timothy Lovett, Andrez Kirkland, and Brad Newman.
The Poteet Funeral Homes was in charge of the funeral arrangements.
