THOMSON, Ga. - Funeral service for Mr. Edward Smith, 60, of Thomson, was held on Monday, September 10, 2007, at 2 p.m. at the Greater St. James A.M.E. Church, Rev. George LaSure, Pastor, Rev. Dr. Bobbie J. Fann, Eulogist. Interment was in Westview Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Bernice B. Smith, Thomson; two sons, Cedric B. Smith and O. Jermaine Smith, both of Thomson; three sisters, Sarah H. Blandingburg, Mary C. Smith, both of Augusta, and Joyce D. Smith-Brown, Atlanta; one brother, Leon Smith, Mesena; two great-aunts, Rose Kendrick and Lunie Ruff, both Thomson; seven sisters-in-laws; three brothers-in-law; four grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Thomson Funeral System was in charge of arrangements.
