AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Ethel Welch, 89, of Augusta entered into rest Monday, September 3, 2007.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Welch. Mrs. Welch was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, September 6, 2007, at the Lumpkin Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home with Pastor Greg Bentley officiating. Burial followed at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Gibson.
Pallbearers were Danny Storey, Danny Lawson, Joey Welch, James Anderson, J.B. Thompson and Brian Bass.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Chet) Hughes, Greensboro, North Carolina; son, Billy (Janice) Welch, Augusta; four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, three great great-grandchildren and a sister, Myrtle Kitchens, Thomson.
Elliott Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
