Usry and Colson wed in Charleston ceremony

Caroline Rhea Colson and Grant Kevin Usry, both of Jacksonville, Fla., were married on August 4, 2007, at St. Phillips Episcopal Church in Charleston, S.C.

The Rev. David Dubay and the Rev. Dr. Wilfred Bellamy performed the 6 p.m. ceremony. The homily was given by Chuck Colson, the bride's grandfather. Music for the ceremony was provided by Mr. H. Capers Cross, organist, Mr. Lee Roberts, vocalist, and Mr. Mark Cheek, bagpiper. A reception followed at the Carolina Yacht Club.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christian Billings Colson of Awendaw, S.C. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Rhea of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., Mrs. Nancy Colson Bursaw of Acton, Mass., and Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. Colson of Naples, Fla.

She earned a BSN from the Medical College of Georgia and is employed by the Mayo Clinic at St. Lukes Hospital, Jacksonville, Fla.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Lewis Usry of Thomson. He is the grandson of Mrs. Katherine Hoover Creager of Peachtree City, Ga., and the late Rentfro Banton Creager of Peachtree City and the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lewis Usry of Thomson.

He earned a BA in anthropology from the University of Georgia and is currently a student at Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, Fla.

Ms. Kelli Uhrinek was maid of honor. Bride's attendants were Jordan Brown, Marissa Bulriss, Jessica Franks, Elizabeth Hansford, Krista Henningson, Krista Rauba and Michelle Warnock. Miss Cameron Bier and Miss Sophie Bier were flower girls.

Best man was the groom's father, Kenneth L. Usry. Groomsmen were Charles Christian Colson, Alfred Lewis Davis, Benjamin Harbeson, Gregory Honomichl, Cameron Lokey, Nick Moore and Brian Smith. Dillon Eric Coe was ring bearer.

A rehearsal dinner was held at The Harbour Club on Friday, August 3, 2007.

The couple enjoyed a honeymoon in Costa Rica and now reside in Jacksonville, Fla.
