Augusta Tech helps Katrina victims

A large scale effort has recently been underway on Augusta Tech campuses throughout the CSRA to provide humanitarian assistance for people affected by Hurricane Katrina.
Students, faculty, and staff in Augusta, Thomson, and Waynesboro contributed a total of $3,711.45. These funds were collected for several days and were later donated to the Augusta chapter of the American Red Cross.
Augusta Technical College is also aiding disaster victims by opening cosmetology facilities to evacuees from the stricken areas.
In addition, three evacuees have recently enrolled at Augusta Tech.
