Rev. William Evans, Jr. ATHENS, Ga. - Funeral services for Rev. William Evans, Jr. of Athens were held Tuesday, September 13, 2005 at noon at the Lithonia Baptist Church in Camak with the Rev. Peter Evans officiating. Interment was in the Future Progress Society Cemetery. Rev. Evans was a Warren County native. He served as Pastor of the following churches: Shady Grove, Tates Grove, Trinity and Lithonia Baptist. Survivors are his wife, Daisy May Evans of Athens; loving children, Quenswella and William, III of Thomson, William Jordan and Brandon Da'Jon of Athens; a brother, Peter A. Evans (Cheryl) of Williamsburg, VA; three sisters, Mary E. Lynch (Charles) of Cincinnati, Ohio, Jacquelynn E. Anderson (Lewis) of West Columbia, SC, and Clara Usry (Joe) of Thomson; five grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Wake services were held on Monday, September 12, 2005 at 6 p.m. at the Lithonia Baptist Church. Thomson Funeral System was in charge of arrangements. Web posted on Thursday, September 15, 2005
