AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Dorothy Kitchens, beloved wife of the late John A. Kitchens, entered into rest at University Hospital, on Monday, September 10, 2007.
Mrs. Kitchens, a native of Wilkes County, graduated from Thomson High School and Anderson College. She was a member of Lumpkin Road Baptist Church for many years but changed her membership to New Life Baptist Church in 1996.
Graveside services were held at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens, Thomson, Saturday, September 15, 2007, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Charles Peters officiating.
Survivors include her daughter, Carol (Ray) Etterlee, Hephzibah; her son Robert (Bob) (Dana) Kitchens, Kernersville, N.C.: sisters, Mrs. Rozelle Burt, Augusta and Margaret Smith, Warrenton, and four grandchildren, Byron Etterlee, Melissa Etterlee, Stacey Kitchens and Avery Kitchens and one great-granddaughter, Britney Etterlee.
