Mrs. Sarah McGruder Love
AUGUSTA, Ga. - Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah McGruder Love of Augusta, were held on Tuesday, September 20, 2005 at 1 p.m. at the Walnut Grove Baptist Church, Appling, with Rev. Elijah Barnes, Jr. officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Love was a Columbia County native and a member of the Walnut Grove Baptist Church. She was retired from The Medical College of Georgia Hospital after 30 years of service.
Survivors are four children, Pierce ‘Pop' Love, Jr. of Augusta, Willie ‘Butch' (Judy) Love of Grovetown, Christine ‘Judy' Davis of Augusta and Lesia Love Linder of Macon; two brothers, Willie ‘Sambo' Willingham and Clifford (Fannie) Williams, both of Augusta; two aunts, Willie Eva McGruder of Augusta and Lizzie Mae McGruder of Los Angeles, Calif.; a dear and devoted friend, Charlie Dunbar of Augusta; 18 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The Thomson Funeral System was in charge of all arrangements.
