HARLEM, Ga. - Mrs. Wilma Thelma Cripps, 65, wife of beloved husband Lemuel Odell Cripps, entered into rest Friday, September 21, 2007, at her residence.
Services were held Wednesday, September 26, 2007, at 2 p.m. at Bethesda Baptist Church with the Rev. Sonny Serigney and Dr. Dean Watson officiating. Interment was in the Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens in Thomson.
Mrs. Cripps was a native of Greeneville, Tenn., and lived in Harlem most of her life. She was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church, a volunteer at Doctor's Hospital, and a former employee of the Thomson Company in Harlem. Mrs. Cripps was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Mattie Keller and mother-in-law, Lillie Z. Cripps.
Survivors include her husband, Lemuel Odell Cripps; and two daughters, Gwen Dick of Needham, Ind., and Laura Cripps of Harlem; seven brothers, Lynn Keller and Buddy Keller of Harlem, Harvey Gene Hayes, Vester Hayes, and Maxie Hayes of Blythe, Ga., Jessie Hayes of Oklahoma, Nathan Hayes of Siloam, Ga.; three sisters, Reba Lyons, Thomson, Wanda Nay of Acworth, Ga., and Grace Mysinger of Greeneville, Tenn.; and one granddaughter, Anna Dick.
Pallbearers were Carroll Justice, Kenneth Justice, Larry Cripps, Angle Ortiz, A.J. Ortiz and Chris Keller.
