CAMAK, Ga. - Mr. Larry Olin Thigpen, 60, of Camak, entered into rest September 22, 2007, in Warrenton. He was the beloved husband of Terry Pate Thigpen.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2007, at the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.
Honorary Pallbearers were Vernon Simons, Wayne Hammett, William Thigpen, Scott Hodgin, Lynn Thigpen, Bobby Mauck, Andy Blair and Terry Adams.
Mr. Thigpen was a lifelong resident of McDuffie and Warren counties. He was the son of the late Olin L. Thigpen and the late Mary Landrum Thigpen. Mr. Thigpen was a Baptist and was a retired Signal Maintainer from CSX Railroad after 33 years.
Survivors include his wife, Terry P. Thigpen, Camak; son, Clay Thigpen, Thomson; two step-daughters, Teresa Lynn Taylor, Martinez, and Juanita Elizabeth Ricks, Dearing; sister, Barbara T. Clay, Thomson; niece, Leigh Anne Davis, Thomson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lloyd and Juanita Pate.
Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association
Beggs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
