To McDuffie County Voters:
On September 19, 2006, 88 percent of those voting, voted for a continuation of the one-cent sales tax for capital improvements for the McDuffie County School System. A very heartfelt "thank you" is extended to all persons who supported this worthy effort. Our children and the entire community will be the recipients of this most significant decision.
The work of members of the SPLOST "The Children First Committee," headed by Chairman Don Powers and Vice-chair Ron Shipman, is also greatly appreciated. Another great example of where concerned citizens in McDuffie County unite behind a worthy cause for the betterment and progress of the entire county.
