Armed robbers strike convenience store
The Augusta Chronicle
State and local authorities are investigating an early Wednesday morning armed robbery at a McDuffie County convenience store, officials said.
Gary Hughes, interim special agent in charge of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation's Thomson office, said GBI agents were called to assist McDuffie County sheriff's officials at the Fast Fair Convenience store on Augusta Highway.
Agent Hughes said two men, one armed, entered the store after 1 a.m. and robbed the store, leaving with an undisclosed amount of money.
