Think of it as the Brotherhood of Almost-Bald Heads.
It all started Sept. 20 when Thomson High School football players Jason Jones and Michael Paul came to school with their heads shaved.
Some of Thomson High's shaved heads pose after the Homecoming pep rally.
Within a few days, other varsity players had followed suit, with some JV players joining in also.
Billy Brunson said he shaved his head because he saw it as a symbol of team unity.
Steven Parish agreed.
"It showed the coaches and fans that the guys were ready to unite together as a team and were ready to play like one," he said.
