GROVETOWN, Ga. - Funeral services for Mr. Rickey Gibson, 33, of Grovetown, were held on Saturday, September 27, 2008, at 2 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church in Harlem, with Rev. Anthony Maurice Booker officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Survivors include a loving mother, Deborah Gibson, Grovetown; a special friend, Carmen Darwin, Martinez; four children, Janessa Gibson, Jerrick Gibson, Ja'mese Gibson, all of Martinez, and Jordan Yates, Grovetown; a step-son, Josh Darwin, Martinez; a sister, Yvette Taylor, Augusta; a brother, Delo Gibson, Augusta; a grandmother, Carrie Bell Steed, Harlem; five aunts, Cathy Gibson, Barbara Taylor, both of Grovetown, Pamela Steed, Regina Johnson, both of Harlem, and Emily S. Ficklin, Thomson; three uncles, Jessie Gibson, Jackie Gibson, and Ulysses Steed, all of Harlem; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, special relatives, and close friends.
Thomson Funeral System was in charge of arrangements.
