Rev. Randy I. Crawford
Minister / Badcock Corp.

THOMSON, Ga. - Rev. Randy I. Crawford entered into rest September 30, 2007, at University Hospital in Augusta. He was the beloved husband of Joy L. Crawford.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 3, 2007, at the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Reginald Blakewood, Jim Martin and Dallas Peevy officiating.

Pallbearers were Kyle Lamb, Andrew Lamb, Mark Davis, Kyle Phillips, Charles Reese, and Kevin Chamlee. Honorary pallbearers were members of New Providence Baptist Church.

Rev. Crawford was born in Wauchula, Fla., and lived in Thomson since 1989. He worked for Badcock Corporation for the past 20 years. Mr. Crawford was a member of New Providence Baptist Church where he served as minister since 2001. He also served on the House and Grounds Committee with the Washington-Wilkes Baptist Association and assisted in the formation of the first community revival held in Thomson.

Survivors include wife, Joy Lamb Crawford, Thomson; son, Ric Crawford, Thomson; daughter and son, Hope Crawford Thigpen and Macy Thigpen, Norwood; father, Ira H. Crawford, Bowling Green; mother, Mary Jo Underwood, Mulberry, Fla.; brothers, Ronnie Crawford, Bowling Green, Wayne Lamb and his wife Jeani, Mulberry, Fla.; sister, Retha Crawford, Mulberry, Fla.; grandchildren, Crawford Thigpen and Sawyer Thigpen.

Memorials may be made to New Providence Baptist Church Building Fund c/o Trudy Free, 5853 Cadley Rd., Norwood, Ga. 30821.

Beggs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
