Mr. Jimmy F. Smith Retired Ironworker DEARING, Ga. - Mr. Jimmy F. Smith, 67, of Dearing, entered into rest Sept. 27, 2005 at Thomson Manor. Survivors include, son, Timothy Smith, Dearing; daughter, Kay Phillips, Brazoria , Texas; brother, Vernon Harrison, Thomson; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; a special friend, Lonice Hobbs, Thomson. Mr. Smith was a lifelong resident of McDuffie County and was the son of the late Clyde Smith and Lucille Harrison. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy and was retired as an Ironworker with McKnight Construction. A memorial service was held at a later date. Beggs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
