THOMSON, Ga.- Mrs. Susan Holzendorf Bridges, 91, of Thomson, entered into rest September 28, 2004 at McDuffie Regional Medical Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Redding Bridges.
Survivors include her son, Jimmy Bridges, Charlotte, N.C.; daughter, Jean Bridges, Atlanta, Ga.; two grandchildren, Jimmy Bridges, Jr., Atlanta, Dottie Koster, Charlotte, N.C. and one great-grandchild, Marley Bridges.
Mrs. Bridges was a lifelong resident of McDuffie County and the daughter of the late Francis Holzendorf and the late Leila Dent Holzendorf. She was a homemaker, a member of First Baptist Church of Thomson and a member of the Lydian Sunday School Class.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Thursday, September 30, 2004, at First Baptist Church in Thomson with Dr. James M. Ramsey officiating. Interment followed in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were James Bridges, Billy Holzendorf, John Bridges, Wade Bridges, Alton Bridges and Lewis Holzendorf.
Honorary pallbearers were the Lydian Sunday School Class.
