THOMSON, Ga.- Mrs. Bessie Crawley, 92, widow of Mr. John Hershal 'Bub' Crawley, died Tuesday, September 28, 2004, in the McDuffie Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Thursday, September 30, 2004 in the Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Ferrell officiating. Burial was in Westview Cemetery.
Mrs. Crawley was a native of Texas and lived and attended schools in Chattanooga, Tenn., but lived most of her adult life in Thomson. She was retired from the National Mobile Homes of Thomson where she was a sewing room clerk. She was a charter member of Bethel Baptist Church of Thomson. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by two sons, James H. 'Jim' Crawley and Joe Norman Crawley.
She is survived by her son, Johnny Crawley, Thomson; two devoted daughters-in-law, Edna Crawley Williams, Norwood, Penny H. Crawley, Thomson and a devoted granddaughter-in-law, Lynn Crawley; grandson-in-law, Sidney Smith; eight grandchildren, Hollie L. Crawley, Kellie R. Crawley, Barrett E. Crawley, Jimmy Crawley and Elisa Smith, all of Thomson; Chuck Crawley, Lakeland, Fla., Pam Hicks, Indiana and Lynn Souther of Indiana; her brother, Bobby Randolph, Thomson; several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Mike McQuaig, Buddy Randolph, Jerry Randolph, Steve Parish, Raymond Brinkley and Chris Wallace.
