THOMSON, Ga.- Mrs. Allie Ruth Fendley, 64, beloved wife of Raymond Fendley of Thomson, died Saturday, October 2, 2004 in the Medical College of Georgia.
Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Dearing Church of God with Rev. James McCollum and Rev. Melton Short officiating.
Pallbearers were Marvin Fendley, Melvin Fendley, Zeke Garrett, Ryan Turner, Matthew Harris and Dustin Harris. Burial followed in the Adams Chapel Cemetery.
A native of Clanton, Ala., Mrs. Fendley was a daughter of the late James and Ruby Headley Smith. She was an avid quilt maker, a member of Dearing Church of God, and she was employed by Chardan as a seamstress.
Mrs. Fendley is survived by her husband, Raymond Fendley of Thomson; son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Beverly Hayes of Villa Rica, Ga.; son, Allen Hayes of Leads, Ala.; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Steve Perotto of Blue Ridge, Ga.; stepson, Wayne Fendley of Augusta; sisters, Delaine Waters of Maplesville, Ala.; Nell Betzhold of Prattville, Ala.; a brother, James Smith of Polk City, Fla.; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
