ALBANY, Ga. - Mrs. Daisy Paracca Holden, 88, of Albany, died Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008, at Palmyra Park Hospital and has gone to be with her Lord.
Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Kimbrell-Stern Funeral Directors with Rev. Tony Haefs officiating. Entombment followed at Crown Hill Mausoleum.
A native of Humboldt, Tenn., Mrs. Holden had lived in Albany since 1957. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, where she was active in the Library and Flower Ministry. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband John W. (Jack) Holden, Sr., in 1981, and her beloved dog, Gretchen, in 2007.
Survivors include two sons, John Wilbur Holden, Jr., and his wife Patsy of Lilburn, Ga.; Barry Wayne Holden of Washington, Ga.; four grandchildren, Tara Holden of Nashville, Tenn.; Brent Holden of Columbia, S.C.; Nicole Eick, and her husband, Carson, of Martinez, Ga.; Stuart Holden of Denver, Colo.; and two great-grandchildren, Ella Ralye Eick and Mary Carson Eick.
