THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Sallie R. Powell, 70, entered into rest Tuesday, September 30, 2008, at Thomson Manor Health Rehabilitation Center.
Services were held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 2, 2008, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Harlem, with Bishop Claar officiating.
She was a wonderful mother and she sacrificed all for her children. Sallie was well loved by all who knew her. The family would like to thank Carol, Wayne, Michael, Emily and Frankie of Trinity Hospice for all their special care.
Sallie is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Jason and Lisa Claar of Grovetown, Steve and Donna Roman of Texas; and three sons and their wives, Arvel and Benita Shults of Maryland, Billy and Heather Shults and Bobby and Vonna Shults of Oklahoma; three brothers Carl Swindoll of Texas, Lee Swindoll of Louisiana and Oscar Swindoll of Texas; grandchildren Amber Shults, Caleb and Autumn Backes, Ellyn Shults, Carlee Shults, Craig and Stephany Spencer, Lee and Jennifer Sharpe, Ryan and Rebecca Thomas, Faith Canavan, Gabriele Canavan , Blake Shults, Tanner Shults and Savanna Shults; great-grandchildren Kailey Spencer, Keira Sharpe, James Spencer and Emily Thomas.
