Mrs. V. Ann Clemmons
Retired office manager

THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. V. Ann Clemmons, of Thomson, entered into rest October 5, 2007, at University Hospital in Augusta. Mrs. Clemmons was the beloved wife of Roy E. Clemmons.

Funeral Services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, October 7, 2007, at Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Key Kernaghan officiating. Interment followed in Sharon United Methodist Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Charles Swint, John Lane, Lloyd Kelley, Jerry Williams, Greg Grant and Kevin Roland.

Mrs. Clemmons was born in Emanuel County but had lived in McDuffie County since 1964. She was the daughter of the late Vernon "Jake" Fennell and the late Edna Watkins Fennell. She was preceded in death by a brother Melvin Fennell. Mrs. Clemmons was a retired office manager from Georgia Iron Works after 26 years. Mrs. Clemmons was a member of Young Memorial United Methodist Church and attended Salem United Methodist Church and was a founding member of the Bartram Trail Horse Club.

Survivors include her husband: Roy E. Clemmons - Thomson; Son: Joe Clemmons (Ann) - Crawfordville; daughter: Toni C. Roland (Mike) - Thomson; brother: B. Glynn Fennell (Ellen) - Crawfordville; sister: Patricia Fennell Kearney (Robert), Flowery Branch, Ga.; sister-in-law: Nancy Fennell - Satellite Beach, Fla.; grandchildren: Daniel Roland, Tara Roland, Alicia Clemmons, and Allison Clemmons; and a great-grandchild: Dylan Williamson.

Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to Salem United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 484, Thomson, GA 30824.

Beggs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
