Mrs. Evelyn Lafleur
Homemaker

THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Evelyn Lafleur, 69, widow of Mr. Rene Lafleur, of Thomson, died Wednesday, October 4, 2006, in the McDuffie Regional Medical Center.

Graveside services were held 2 p.m. Sunday, October 8, 2006, in the Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens with Rev. Michael Timmerman officiating.

Mrs. Lafleur was born in Westport, Mass., a daughter of the late Jose and Philomena Andrade Duarte. She had lived in Thomson for many years and was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Brenda (Brent) Godbee of Thomson, and Carol (John) Chick of Royston, Ga.; sister, Mary Martin of Clearwater, Fla.; two brothers, Albert Duarte of Massachusetts, and Manuel Duarte of Pahrump, Nev.; six grandchildren, Jason Hill, Ashley Hill, Will Chick, Traci Minor, Joe Minor and Greg Minor; several nieces and nephews.

Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
