THOMSON, Ga. - Mr. Johnny Lee Radford, 76, of Thomson, entered into rest October 3, 2005 at University Hospital.
He was the beloved husband of Bobbie Morgan Radford. Mr. Radford was born in McDuffie County and was the son of the late Charlie Radford and the late Mattie Whitaker Radford. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Era and was retired from Kingsley Mill in Thomson after 30 years of service. Mr. Radford was also a member of the Thomson Church of God.
Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Morgan Radford, Thomson; son, Bob Radford, Thomson; daughters, Phyllis Woods (John), Marietta, Janet Chalker (Keith), Thomson; sister, Frances Ogletree, Augusta; three grandchildren, Hollie Woods, Kizzi Rice and Jennifer Chalker; two great-grandchildren, Sidney Upton and Morgan Upton.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, October 6, 2005 at the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. T.D. Mooneyham, Doug Butts and Bobby Farmer officiating. Interment followed in Westview Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Lee Collins, DeWayne Patrick, Jay Hodgin, Melvin Radford, Tracy Radford and Rodney Arrington.
Beggs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
