APPLING, Ga.- Mrs. Irene Williford, 87, wife of the late William R. Williford, entered into rest on Thursday, October 7, 2004 at McDuffie Regional Medical Center.
Funeral Services were held at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Telfair Street Chapel on Saturday, October 9, 2004 at 11 a.m. with Reverend Jerry Greer and Mr. Frank Martin officiating. Burial followed at Bartow Cemetery, Bartow, Ga. at 3 p.m.
Survivors include five daughters, Loretta Hall, Warner Robins, Ga., Frances Pauline Babb, North Augusta, S.C., Myrtle Lurene Bailey, Kingstree, S.C., Billie Yvonne Kimberly, Grovetown, Ga. and Debra Jean Hatcher, Appling, Ga.; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
A native of Swainsboro, Ga., Mrs. Williford made the Augusta area her home for most of her life. She was a member of Belvedere Church of God and the Ladies Auxiliary and worked for King Mill.
Pallbearers for the service were William Babb, Michael Hall, Andrew Marsee, Lonnie Pope, Jr., Richard Lee Bailey, Jr., Timmy Hatcher and Ken Bufford.
