Mrs. Mamie Lizzie Coppet AUGUSTA, Ga.- Funeral services for Mrs. Mamie Lizzie Coppet, 67, of Augusta, were held on Saturday, October 9, 2004 at 1 p.m. at the Newberry Baptist Church, Augusta, Rev. Cleve Garrison, officiating. Interment was in the Walker Memorial Park Cemetery. Survivors are her father, Johnny Hampton; seven daughters, Velma Taylor, Thomson, Dianne Lott, Norcross, Shirley Wilcher, Angela Deloach, Janice Wilcher, Grace Scott and Elizabeth Stanley, all of Augusta; four sons, Johnny Wilcher, Michael Wilcher, Ricky Wilcher and Ronald Wilcher, all of Augusta; six sisters, Joyce Ford, North Augusta, S.C., Loretta Frazier, Hinesville, Ga., Ann Dorsey, Johnnie Lee Hampton, Mary Hampton and Sandra Hobbs, all of Augusta; four brothers, Johnny Hampton, Jr., Colorado Springs, Joseph Hampton, Sr., Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Larry M. Carter and Lawrence J. Carter, both of Augusta; 39 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Thomson Funeral System was in charge of arrangements.
