THOMSON, Ga. - Funeral service for Mrs. Lizia Mae Lazenby Rogers, 74, of Thomson, was held on Thursday, October 9, 2008, at 3 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with Rev. Darnell Brantley, Sr., officiating. Interment was in the churchyard cemetery.
Survivors include six daughters, Ann (Samuel) McDowell, Virginia (Kenneth W.) Riley, all of Augusta, Gladys Rogers, Terresa (Willie) Lane, Mary Wilson and Rosalind Rogers, all of Thomson; four sisters, Christine Martin, Ruth M. Mills, Ernestine Lazenby and Mary L. Crowder, all of Thomson; three brothers, Hubert Lazenby, Peter Lazenby, Jr., and Howard Lazenby, all of Thomson; five sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; one aunt; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Thomson Funeral System was in charge of arrangements.
