AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Rosa Ward Thomas of Augusta, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday morning, October 8, 2008.
Homegoing services were held Monday, October 13, at 11 a.m. at First Metropolitan Baptist Church, with the Rev. Enoch Ward, Jr., presiding.
Rosa was born in Hiltonia, Ga., to James Ward and Hattie Moseley Ward.
She leaves to cherish her memories: a daughter, Ernestine King; sons, Bobby (Odessa) Thomas, Thomson, Earl (Girdie) Thomas, Ronald (Leila) Thomas, Larry Thomas, New York, N.Y., John (Phyllis) Thomas, Hephzibah, and Anthony (Miranda) Thomas; a devoted sister, Julia Reuben; 23 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
