Rebecca Marie Williams and James Daniel Shelton were united in marriage Saturday, September 20, 2008, at 6 p.m. at Rock Mill Plantation in Jewell, Ga. Rev. James Ramsey officiated the ceremony.
Becky is the daughter of Jimmy and Dena Williams of Thomson. She is the granddaughter of Hank and Jackie Heimbach of Devereaux, Ga., and the late Tommy R. Williams and Maysel Williams of Bonaire, Ga.
Jimmy is the son of Gerald and Gloria Shelton of Gibson.
The bride was given in marriage by her father, Jimmy Williams.
Jessica Hicks, sister of the bride, Thomson, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Olivia Jones and Kimberly Williams, sister of the bride, Thomson. Flower girl was Jailey Hicks, niece of the bride, Thomson.
Best man was Jared Land of Thomson. Groomsmen were Charlie Shelton of Norwood and Jonathan Shelton of Thomson, both cousins of the groom. Hunter Shelton, nephew of the groom, was ring bearer.
The couple would like to thank the following people for helping with their special day: Sheila Crosby directed the wedding. James Williams, brother of the bride, was photographer. D.J.'s were Taylor Carrington and Trent Henderson. Program attendant was Zoe Hadden. Catering was prepared by Crissy Hadden, flowers - Candy Welch, videographer - Clarissa Hand, hair - LeeAnn Gurley, and makeup - Ann Mooney.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held outside at Rock Mill Plantation in Jewell. The couple enjoyed a honeymoon trip to Hilton Head Island, S.C. They are now residing in Thomson.
