AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Luther Stockton, Sr., entered into rest Friday, October 12, 2007, at the Department of Veterans Affairs Downtown Division.
Survivors include one son, Mr. Luther J. Stockton, Jr.; daughter, Ms. Barbara S. Scott, Forestville, Md.; sister, Mrs. Sarah Phillips, Thomson; three grandchildren, Angela (Brent) Walker, Everette C. Scott, Jr., Alisha (Rodriques) Johnson; five great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Mary Stockton, Mary Travis, Ethel Kelley (Nathan), and Dora Jackson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at 1 p.m. from Ward Chapel A.M.E. Church with Rev. Richard Smith officiating. Interment was in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Dent's Undertaking Establishment was in charge of arrangements.
